While we're waiting for the follow-up to his excellent album "Normal Boy", Bill Bressler delights us with a funny little instrumental goodie. Vintage keyboards meet a nice funky rhythm. More of that is highly welcome!
As a Peter Hammill Fan I can only love this.
Don’t get me wrong, this ain’t just a copy.
The songs are very individual, but they still have that PH Flair. The jazzy inclusions takes it even further away from that, while the vocals brings it back again .
But it all fits very well together.
Great album 👍 Boris Stalf
This is one of the best interpretations I've heard of Genesis music, Pete would have made an excellent replacement vocalist for the band itself, he has a lovely feel for the songs, and a perfect voice for the material Colman Jones
Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends ;-)
In other words, this is a real treat for fans of classic ELP - or keyboard-driven early 70s prog - fans, more generally.
Perhaps a little less virtuosic than the forefathers, but surely with a sharp (knife-)edge.
Fun-fact: Helmsman and keyboardist Thor Erik Helgesen normally plays guitar in a black metal band ;-) Carsten Pieper
Hah! The mix at the opening of The Magnet and then the change into the second half.
The Fox In A Hole is a classy track, too, with nice drumming.
But the second track was the winner for me. Peter Jones
